[Premium-Rx] TenTec RX340 Question

My RX340 loses its entire memory every time I shut it down, including all saved memories, its operating frequency, mode, etc.  It's as if I had restarted it in the "Clear" mode.

In the manual, I see a reference to a battery-backed RAM, U3.  Could that battery be the cause of this problem?  Does anyone know where it's located, and whether there are any tricks to replacing it?
