[Premium-Rx] For sale: Dynamics Sciences R-1250 Receiver 10 kHz to 1 GHz

Hello,
out of an estate of an avid collector and ham I offer a very rare Dynamic Sciences R-1250 receiver. Frequency range 10 kHz to 1 GHz. Switchable modes: AM and FM, a tunable BFO is present, CW and SSB should be possible too. Selectable bandwidth 50 Hz to 200 kHz

The unit is very heavy, about 40 kg, it is housed in a 19“ desktop cabinet  6 units high. I see at least 6 ERIE crystal filters for AM, IF frequency 200 kHz, input/output impedance 50 Ohms and three crystal filters for FM, If frequency 30 MHz.

The receiver powers up, but the frequency display is dark. In AM there is s little hum with audio gain fully open, in FM there is loud noise.

I suspect a power supply failure, probably shorted tantalum capacitors. I have not checked any further.

The system is located near Francfort/ Germany.
Pick up preferred or delivery to HAMRADIO fair at Lake Constance (last weekend in June). Packing and shipping is possible at buyers expense. Please ask for a quote for your location.

The receiver is sold for the benefit of the widow. I have no idea what to ask for it. Please submit your best offer.
