I had in account the WJ 8711A it is said that is very good with weak signals, but I think that service or fix it would be a nighmare, I prefer the R&S receivers.

Maybe the EK895, as a dedicated HF receiver, would be a better option than the EB150 in terms of VLF-HF reception.

There is valuable information on the web, a owner says that there is no crackles and noises and the AGC is superb.

I would consider a Rohde EB200 or EB150, instead a EK895.There are more info and software available and it's still a R&S.Besides that, the EB200 is portable, and goes up to 3 GHz, and has all the features found at EK895.

There is hardly any information or reviews on the web, only specifications.
I have some receivers in my shack Drakes,Lowe, had a Racal 1772, and a modern SDR a Winradio g33ddc. I would like to know if having these receivers is it worth getting a ek895. I do not whether in terms of perfomance the ek895 surpasses the Winradio or similar SDR,s.

Any opinion is very welcomed.
