Thanks Spencer.  Good to know that about the 8634.  I thought that the micro DB port only had audio & rcvr status on it.   The command that comes to mind for setting the baud rate was CBR.   If you have the remote command reference manual you can look for that one.
Good luck!
Trevor

And I would add the 8634 also has the micro DB9 and does allow front panel RS232 control. I have one running just fine.
You are probably correct that you need to get the receivers into the switch selected maintenance mode and set values that way.
Thanks.

I have to edit my last.  Actually, the 8629 does have an aux RS-232 port for control.  I forgot about that one. :(  I don't have the manual for that receiver available, but my guess is that the port would default to 9600 N 8 1, and in the absence of DIP switch setting, likely there is a port speed setting command you can send via hyper-terminal or equivalent if you want it faster/slower.

Do any of you Premium RX WJ fans know how you set the front panel RS232 port speed on the WJ VXI package receivers that allow for serial control? This applies to the later generation receivers that have no switches to configure the serial ports. I have read through the RCS32 manual and can’t locate any reference to how this is done. Perhaps it’s a factory set function only? Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer.
