An icon of radio listening, the AOR AR-7030 Plus is undoubtedly one of the
best receivers designed and manufactured especially for Ultra Demanding
DXists. Launched in mid-1996 thanks to the partnership of the Japanese
company AOR with the English designer John Thorpe responsible for the
famous British line of LOWE receivers recognized worldwide for their
excellent performance in SWL receivers, especially in the most critical
bands such as Long, Medium and Tropical Waves. After John Thorpe left LOWE,
the Japanese AOR entered into a partnership with Thorpe to develop and
produce together, simply the best and most advanced SWL receiver ever
produced. The Japanese AOR set up its subsidiary in the United Kingdom, and
thus designed and manufactured the first AOR AR-7030 in the United Kingdom,
High Dynamic Range SWL Receiver.
