[Premium-Rx] WJ8712P RECEIVER

Greetings List Members,
Firstly, many thanks to the Members who responded to my 3 March 2019 posting requesting information concerning adding a WJ8712P Front Panel to my friend Terry's ( GW0EZY, also a member ) ex-BBC WJ8712-1 receiver.

Current SITREP : The 482254 Rev D Front Panel Assembly with 8712P Firmware 1.00.01 works perfectly in a WJ8711A receiver equipped with ( Many thanks to W3JN ) U12 8712P ver 04.01.10 and U56 ver 04.02.07 Eproms.

Unfortunately the Front Panel will not communicate with the early version WJ8712-1 receiver because the A2 Control Board does not support the later 8712P version Firmware.

Consequently Terry is now looking to purchase a working A2 Control Board type 797214 (A, 1, or 2). This has the Dallas Ram - not the Button Memory Cell fitted.
 The purchase of a later, complete and working, WJ8712A receiver fitted with a 797214 A2 Board would also be an option.
