A WJ engineer told me the WJ-8712P was the best model of the series.  I 
asked him if they were so good, why do I never see them.  He told me 
they aren't being surplussed out because they remain popular with the 
end users.

Even though I am a researcher and do not deal in equipment, I have 
received a few RFPs from foreign government agencies seeking to buy 
8712Ps.  I used to forward these to Dave Shane at DRS, but his 
replacement told me not to bother because they no longer support any of 
the legacy WJ equipment.
