There is serious concern about interferance to GPS. It being used to
harrass and disrespect employees, and they are reacting with spoofers
and jammers. This IS highly illegal and presents very real dangers, but
when there are millions of angry people, the devices will be constructed
and used.. This has been recognized as a serious hazard in aviation
circles, and robust backups for GPS are being sought. When flying an
instrument approach, be very aware of any truck stops or road freight
terminals near the airfield. A moritorium on wrecking any more Loran
stations was put into effect, tests are supposedly being made on an
enhanced Loran system. Have these concerns affected more
non-directional beacons being destroyed? How about marine NDBs?
