Dear John,
This is a realy nice Rx. I have one working, and two 2286 control
units with serious issues (a long term project).
Still, in the past I found David Schofield
<davesc50 at tiscali.co.uk> and "Phill at A6A2" <a6a2 at btinternet.com> to be
very helpful on this topic.
Most likely, extension cables will be impossible to find, but as far
as I found out last year (without fully pursuing) the connector seems
compatible with the A-RM series somehere in the Assmann catalog
http://www.services.assmann.com/download/data/catalogs/electronic-components/med/assmann-wsw-ec-catalog-2006.pdf
.
Maybe you can retrieve the exact type and make an extension cable or card.
With best regards,
Raymond ON4DBV
