I have a WJ-8700 Dual VLF-HF receiver for sale. We purchased it for a 
government contractor and after receiving it we found out that it is missing 
a card. It's missing the optional A4 card, digital option. The installed 
firmware is custom and when the radio boots it looks for A4 to run the 
optional Base Band Converter outputs. Everything else seems to be OK. The DC 
voltages are correct. The front panel displays the initialization routine 
and responds to CLEAR. The processors are polling data. Audio is present at 
the output jacks. The 10 MHz reference is running. The installed IF 
bandwidths are 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8 KHz. The SSB filters are 2.4 KHz. The 
roofing filter is 16 KHz. There is a bypass feature that allows the base 
band converter outputs to run at a 130 KHz CF with a 256 KHz BW. This feeds 
specialized spectrum monitors that were used to hunt submarines. The tuning 
range is 5 KHz to 32 MHz. This unit has a linear power supply - not a 
switcher - so it is very quiet. It is MIL spec. The chassis is nearly 
perfect.

We believe that this radio was removed from service after the fan died in 
2011. The option card was removed and installed in another radio. The fan 
and all of the filter capacitors have been replaced. We did as much as we 
could but without the option card this radio will not boot.

If you own one of these radios you know how rare they are. So if you have 
one that isn't working or isn't pretty here's a chance to finish it. These 
radios are still on the active duty roster.

I have to sell this radio by April 3rd or return it to the supplier. I'm 
asking only for our costs $1650.00 plus shipping. If you are interested
