Terry:
The Honeywell 6845 unit works reasonably well, after I determined which of
the five modules went where- Though they each have a common plug/socket
arrangement, they each differ in their coax connections. The IF freq is
20.55 MHZ and I have no idea why that is so. The SDR-IQ hooked to the front
panel IF out shows 20 kHz and 200 kHz filters are reasonably flat. The 5 MHz
filter is slopes badly as shown on a spectrum analyzer. The FM circuit makes
a great AM slope detector and the radio is very sensitive in the most of the
VHF range. I have replaced five electrolytics and am considering changing
the wet slug tantalums, although they appear to be good. Date codes on the
transistors are as high as 1973.
Let me know if you want more info.

Terry;
Did you receive the dozen or so pics I sent of the 6845?

Bill,
Would you be willing to send me pictures of this receiver? It sounds like
it was a small volume production unit designed to compete with WJ for a
contract. If it has any nomenclature plates or stickers indicating who
purchased it or where it has been, readable photos of those markings would
be very helpful. Several companies tried and briefly took business away
from WJ. These companies are an interesting facet of the story I am
researching.

Best,
