Really appreciated for fresh information for me.You absolutely right, yes, fm my side of the pond really difficult to find any thing else.
That is my own adventure with my Regco RG-5500, i find it very interested because in Russia that kind of equipment extremelly rare.

I think WJ products certainly better than Regco made because company destiny totally different...And Regco was not so sucссess like WJ, but i find RG-5500
very nice for me after restoration, very ease to use and convenient. 

That is brutal, classic radio for those who spent their life with good radios and has habit for. Not for those who enjoy modern one.

Certainly RG-5500 reqiured for some modification and disign impruvement even in power suply unit. But especially needed in VCO's A20 and A21.
Those two units was made not by Regco, but by some strange company's-disigned where poorly without good special practise for UHF equipment...That is very wide band VCO's with
so called "pretune system" and really difficul to made them properly in wide band aplication... And one more big, big problem-that is totally absence of manuals or any other useful informatiom. Spares probably possible to find in very small quantitys, but in my country no possible to find anything. That is why mission to restore extremelly difficult...So where we go.
