Thanks for the nice words.
I will keep a lookout for English manuals on behalf of both you and
Peter.
The CR302/4 is a very nice receiver, and combines operational
simplicity with
good RF performance. An attest to the high construction quality is
that two or three of
the first 10 receivers produced in 1970 still are in H24 operation
after more than 42 years.

Karl-Arne,
Many thanks for the pdf of the RA722 manual, which contains exactly
the diagram that I need to fix the continuous tuning fault on my
SRT307A - on the very last page!
I think I can make sense of the Swedish - I lived in Norway for a few
months and there is quite a lot of similarity - but an English version
would certainly make life easier.
I found your article in ESR Resonans very interesting, too.
thanks again,
John G.

Hello,
The CR301 will give audio output from the Channel A or USB channel
when set to ISB mode.
However, if the Channel B button is pressed, there will be no sound,
as the LSB IF channel is unpopulated
(there is actually an empty box in the IF section of the receiver).
Unpopulated slots can have several reasons.
One is the lacking ISB audio amplifier, one is the optional FSK
demodulator or remote control switching cards.
It seems that the improvised decade counter board uses one of the
spare remote control card slots.
Regarding a manual, it presents a problem to scan or copy them, as
they are a binder 6 cm thick.
I would look out for a spare English language manual if I manage to
find one somewhere.
Here is a link to the Swedish language military manual
http://www.sm7ucz.se/Ra844/Ra722.pdf
I have worked professionally with these receivers (and their
successors CR90 and CR91)
in civilian and military systems since the early 80's, and still
maintain a handful of CR302's
for a customer.
