Hi Pete

I don't know if it's amongst those you found but I posted a scan of the
535 service manual to Rapidshare towards the end of last year, the text is
much the same as others that have been online for much longer but the
schematics are properly legible for a change, and this is available in two
versions, one with schematics in A4 and the other adjusted to A3.

They can be found here......

However, these are also scans of that same106 page manual, this copy came
direct from JRC in Japan in the early 90s, and as far as I'm aware there
was never any more detailed information released outside the factory. If
there was I've certainly never heard of it, not even a whisper!, and I get the
impression that any actual factory support dried up long ago.

Extender cards are very hard few and far between and users that have them
tend to keep them. Although I have heard of folks making their own it's the
edge connectors that seem to be almost impossible to find so that might
involve a bit of hacking of other connectors.

There's a Yahoo user group at _nrd-525-535 at yahoogroups.com_
(mailto:nrd-525-535 at yahoogroups.com) and some interesting observations on the 535 here....

Gentlemen, I recently purchased a used JRC NRD-535D HF receiver in working
condition, and also bought a Kiwa Electronics NRD-535 Audio Upgrade kit
which I have since installed. After having had time to evaluate the
radio’s performance, I have several questions which I hope someone familiar
with it will be able to answer for me. Even though the receiver works well, I
think that it would probably benefit from a complete alignment. In order
to accomplish that though, I will need to locate a JRC NJZ-667 Extension
Circuit Board; any source(s)? I have also noticed that the service manual
commonly available on the Internet is not very comprehensive. I downloaded
three copies from different sites, but they are all identical (106 pages) and
are missing substantial alignment/adjustment details, etc.On the CMF-78 ECSS
Unit, for example, the “Service Manual” only mentions a VCO
adjustment and nothing about the remaining three potentiometers and two
variable inductors. I
suspect that there is a more complete maintenance manual out there and
wish to obtain a copy. BTW, does JRC still support their older equipment at
all? Thanks, Pete [KA5FUN]
