Hello Per-Tore,
I do not much about electronics but it might be that the 100LN uses 8 JFET,s as amplifier.
The 330S although designed to work to 30Mhz it goes perfectly to 150 Mhz and more, the ALA 100LN does not. ¿Could it be that this broadband amplifier could cause the sensation of a wider bandwidth? I do not know, but the 100LN acts like a narrow filter, it separates very good noise and signal, much better than the 330S.
With the 330S I have intermodulations from two powerful FM stations and it can be easily be listened static and lightnings, on the contrary the 100LN has not these issues.

Could anyone please explain to me how an antenna can give a richer and fuller sound, and how it can give more treble?
