[Premium-Rx] WJ-8718 receiver questions

Mike:
The SSB filters are fixed, each for LSB and USB. The ISB option audio is available on the rear of the chassis.

The tuning knob is mounted directly to the encoder shaft. It turns quite freely, but shouldn't "self-adjust" unless the the knob is way out of balance.
At one time, we offered a clutch addition for the HF-1000 and 8711A receivers to give them a better feel. It was a pair of brass washers and a very light compression spring. That's something you could experiment with, or like we did with some of the earlier radios, we just
cut felt washers and fit them between the rear of the knob and the front panel. The amount of friction was determined by how far on the shaft the knob was located before it was locked down.
Hope this helps a bit,

Hello to the list...
Just picked up a nice WJ-8718 today at a hamfest and I have a couple
of questions:

1. It appears that when in LSB or USB, the BW is not selectable.  Normal?
2. The main tuning knob turns too freely.  Is this adjustable?

Thanks for any help...I'm sure I'll have more questions as I use it more.

Mike
