Hi Mike,

Please refer to section 3 in the manual (I will send you a copy).

1. When in USB / LSB / ISB modes the IF BW is locked to 2.95 KHz . All other 
BW's are locked out.
2. Depending on the version of optical encoder installed you can tighten the 
drag / brake by an adjustment screw or adding shims to the brake hub.
