The R9000 I use is ok for LF but deaf on VHF/UHF. Does anyone know about
any fixes? I think I read somewhere the seperate VHF/UHF connect shorts and
also the input fet fails. Thoughts?

The difficult thing for me to accept is that it is unlikely anything as good
will ever be built (commercially) again.

The IC-R9000 is certainly a premium receiver, so please post away!

I have two of them, and installed the Sherwood fan/cooling mod on both. I
would highly recommend this as the receivers do tend to run on the warm
side.

Overall, the R9000 is a great performer and fun to operate. It is difficult
to believe they are over two decades old now...
