I am looking for a >30 MHz companion for my RF-350 that can receive up to at
least 500 MHz. My first tendency would be go "take the easy road" and get an
AOR but I am a rack-mount sorta girl and want to replace my R-220/URR.

Here are a few of my requirements;

FM/AM/SSB modes supported
>0.5 uV Sensitivity
Adjustable bandwidth (with a wide enough setting so I can compensate for
doppler shift from sats)
Supports memory programming and scanning of channels
Capable of computer control (with a few suggestions on Windows based apps
for logging)
120VAC, would be nice if it could support 12 or 24 VDC supply as well.
455 KHz IF output for an external panadapter and signal processing
It would be nice if it could support an external 10 MHz rubidium oscillator
for frequency stability
Low phase noise and distortion
Relatively intermod free
A nice low noise floor

I am looking in the $1500 to $2000 price range and do not want a radio that
is a basket case.

If you folks can enlighten me I would be really helpful, Maybe there are
better choices than WJ.

thanks!
