[Premium-Rx] Watkins Johnson W7-8712 : RS232 Remote Control Protocol Specification

Hi

 

I've just purchased my first Watkins Johnson radio, a WJ8712, to add to my
collection of RA1792,HF2050 & RF590.

 

This is my first premium radio without a real front-panel !!

 

So I'm hoping that somebody can supply me the RS232 protocol details, so
that I can write something to control this radio.

 

I am the author of the G8JCFSDR, http://www.g8jcf.dyndns.org
<http://www.g8jcf.dyndns.org/>   and would like to be able to control the
WJ8712 from the G8JCFSDR.

 

Failing having the RS232 protocol specification, if someone has some
software to remote control the WJ8712, then I could use a protocol analyser
to see what is going on.
