[Premium-Rx] Plessey PR-1553

I have quite finished the restoration of this receiver.
Is there anybody who own this exotic radio or can give me some
historical informations about it's usage when it was in duty?
I suppose it's a civilian receiver, but someone told me that was also
sold to the military.

The radio in spite of the technical problems i am still trying to fix,
is a very good performer both in ssb and AM.
