[Premium-Rx] Cubic 3030 R-2411

Hello Group, 

 

Hoping some of you guys might be more familiar with this wonderful receiver.  Just acquired a Cubic R-2411 HF receiver several months ago and have 2 first questions, looking for ways to improve and expand its abiilties

 

1. Has anyone used an out board DSP filter, or any other mods for that reason, on this and which do you recommend, if any..

 

2. Looking for some info on software to control this rig... ERGO 4.0 states it will, but it seems while reading more information on the R-2411 (mine) depends on the CPU version, and firmware, software, built in...also... I have a IEEE-488 computer connection.... wish it were RS-232 ... and boxes that translate that are kinda pricey, especially considering that I am not sure whether it will work with the ERGO software, so don't want to spend a $100 or more if its not going to work anyway... any help?
