Some time ago I downloaded the manual for the Reaction Instruments 490-2
multicoupler from the list reference section and given the very good
specified LF response am considering building something for my own use based on
this design.

However, I've not been able to find any reference in the manual to the
part number of the NPN transistors used in the emitter follower output stages.
It does comment that they have very high gain-bandwidth products but
doesn't indicate whether this was due to special selection or just because that
was normal for the device used.

>From the drawings they look to be in a TO5 or TO39 package so there's a
few usual suspects I could try but if anyone could tell me what actual
devices were used that would be appreciated.

BTW
I've noticed that the links for the 490-2 manual, plus some of the others,
don't seem to be working at the moment.

regards
