G'day Steve,
many thanks for your input. I understand the matters you raise very well. The
reason for my initial email was to dismiss the proclaimed fact that Harris
provides good service free of charge to our community based upon my own
experience. In case of the RF590A audio PCB, a simple reply to the fact that
this part was no longer available would have sufficed. Instead I was
communicating with a brick wall that never replied.
I don't believe that withholding the support for equipment due to export
license requirement is a valid reason as a license is obtainable in most
cases.
Yes, the RF-590A may be a bad examples, however I also enquired about display
modules and audio boards (same as for RF590A) for the R2368/URR (optional),
service manual for the RF-1110, which were listed as supported.
This lack of support has prompted me to design my own display modules and my
plan is to do the same for the 10073-5800 A23 audio assembly.
