Forgot to mention:
All of his three CHR531 had the memory recall problem - due to
the empty battery.

I have a CHR531 and it has the same MemorRecall problem. I have not checked the battery but 
would be curious to know what the problem is. Perhaps would be good to check the battery to 
see if it fixes the problem. Since more than one have the same issue most likely battery is 
the reason.
