Eugene,
You have a very nice Harris RF-7210A Mil Spec ALE (Automatic Link
Establishment) controller with the latest software upgrade. It was
designed to work with a RF-1310A exciter and RF-590A premium RX. I
understand that this controller cost the Fed. about $15,000 to $20,000. It
started life as a RF-7110 controller which is an obsolete early form of ALE
called AUTOLINK which is Harris only. It was them upgraded to a RF-7210A
Mil Spec AUTOLINK II called MIL-STD-188-141B. Go to the following sites for
additional info.

http://www.milspec.ca/modems/ale.html

http://tsc-60.cellmail.com/tsc-60/harris/index.html
(This site has manuals for the RF-7210 controller - very close to what you
have)

Also visit the following site for a ham based PC driven view of ALE for
emergency operations.

http://www.hflink.com/

Bottom line - "you did good". It is probably the best of the best external
standalone ALE controllers.

Hope this helps,
Chuck
