Hello John!

I have three RA-1772s here (do you get the impression that I LIKE 
that receiver?
<<GRIN>>). One is definitely military, one is definitely civilian (a 
VERY unstandard
crystal filter configuration, no USB / LSB filters installed, and no 
AFC, RTTY, or
ISB boards installed), and the third is probably a civilian set. None 
of the three
looked like they'd had any major field modification by previous 
owners; they were
pretty much virgin when I got them.

I've never checked out the serial numbers (no need to) or date codes 
(not sure just
where that would be). I can do so if it would help out your writing project.
