Signal Intelligence Inc. offers software for both public and government agencies. I am thinking about requesting one of their demos. Most of the WJ products are supported over RS-232, USB, or IEEE 488. How well does it work? We shall see. Notice that system requirements are fairly modern. You cannot run their programs under DOS or on a legacy machine. A modern server or PC are required, but they are no longer expensive. The host computer should have sufficient computing power to allow the software to respond real time. A Spectrum SentryNet installation would mean a significant $$$ commitment. Then again we did not buy cheap radios. Take a look at the features and prices:

Not cheap!
Has anyone tried their software? Am I traveling in uncharted territory?
You can also but a copy of LabView for a similar cost and roll your own.
I run my radios 24/7 so a console that gets my hands off the dials would be wonderful. I'm not interested in remote access, but that is a nice option for those who put their radios on a hill top or in a tall building. In town there are several monitoring stations set up this way.
Also note that WJs old and new are still used by the Marine Corp for intelligence gathering. I have the copies of the public MAGTF documents. As they upgrade to smaller high density receivers we get the old ones. The newer radios are computer centric with fewer knobs, but in today's world spectral performance is the name of the game. How many receivers can you get into one box? This makes it practical for one terminal to command arrays of receivers
