I believe light dimmer RFI can be quieted down quite a bit by inserting an RF
choke in series with the lead going to the lamp and also between the dimmer
and the power input lead. Also some 1-2KV Rated .01 Disc ceramics across the
dimmer input-output sides to the ground line may help. I bought some small
ferrite toroids to wind a few chokes on but never got around to testing them with
my dimmers. If you want to try inserting some chokes be sure they are rated
to handle the current which would be about 1 amp for a 100 watt load. A couple
of 1/2 inch toroids can be tucked into a standard wall box along with the
dimmer. 73 Todd WD4NGG
