[Premium-Rx] "quiet" dimmers

Hi Frank, et al,
Many thanks to the responders regarding my original inquiry...everyone leans
toward variac-type equipment, as had I, however, as you point out, the
variacs don't fit in a wall box and tend to stop building inspectors dead in
their tracks. While a variac-type unit is the obvious solution, there is
the unintended issue created by most walls with the dimmers being of
Integrated Concrete Form construction, which presents me with a 2" deep
layer of styrofoam insulation into which I can fit these things. Looks like
I have some fiddling to do.
The fact is I have to deal with dimmers, as my wife has been "very
understanding" of the power processors, wire antennas and towers, dedicated
radio room, etc...me thinks I should allow dimmers and develop some sort of
variac-type solution.
thank you all.
John Collins
