Dear Colleagues
The following might me slightly of-topic, but I post it nevertheless as
we all are radio-enthusiasts...
I am currently doing work in the field of decoding time signal station
receivers using software. The decoding software will eventually become
part of a free Unix operating system, the goal is to support as many
reliable time sources as possible. I am thus looking for all kind of
documentation and (unused) receivers, so far I have
- USB and serial attached DCF-77 and HB) receivers
- A GPS unit that "speaks" NMEA
- Gerd Klawitter's book "Zeitzeichensender"
Of course I am especially interested in industrial time signal receivers
which are at the moment to expensive for me to buy (especially since I
don't use them for timekeeping, but rather to develop drivers to decode
the signals).
If you have any documentation, hardware etc. related to time signals
lying around that you don't need anymore, please mail me in private.
Again, it's not for commercial use, so donations from companies that
manufacture time signal receivers are very welcome, too.
Kind regards and a happy new year,
Marc Balmer, HB9SSB
