Hi,

John Collins here

I'll doble check my info here, but in the meantime, pop the top cover and jot down the versions as noted on the CPU and Serial/IEEE488 module. It's important for us to know for sure: do you have R3030 or R3030A? Further is there a secondary military classification number on the tag?

The two version "A" and "not A" are very similar, but will differ in firmware versions, remote control type and version, IF filters, rear panel connections and connectors, and keypad buttom vs function assignments. Therefore, the key push for "A" vs "NOT A" may be different. Be aware also that there are several versions of the manual...all very similar but different just like the rx's.

Also, if you have the "A" version, I have a couple of mods I can forward.

please advise

John

Subject: [Premium-Rx] Cubic 3030 info requested.

Hi to the group cubic specialists:

A friend of my bought a cubic 3030 on Epay and has the following request:

At the moment I've two questions:

  (1) Is there a master reset to get the factory settings?
  (2) It seems that both receivers do not respond properly to the commands
for displaying the software versions. My manual specifies this sequence:
"RCL, SKIP, 1, ENT", but nothing happens.

Please let me have your reply and the possible name of an Cubic Guru.

Tnx Hans PA1AMS in AMSterdam NL.
