Someone just noted that they had posted a couple of notes to premium and
not gotten them in return. I had the same experience yesterday... and
investigated. Right now, when I hit "Reply" in my mail software, the reply
is going directly to the person that posted the original note, rather than
going to the group. Hummmmmm.... I'm using Eudora and must have hit some
preference switch that I wasn't aware existed.
If your postings aren't going to the group, possibly the same thing is
happening to you.
Here is what I thought I posted yesterday about the DR-333 and Ergo 4.
John Bryant:
Andre,
Your radio works fine, probably. Ergo 4, despite the owners claims, DOES
NOT operate the radio properly (as you just found out.) Further, the owner
of ERGO knows that it doesn't work properly and still maintains the DR-333
in his list of supported receivers. The two people that I know who run
DR-333s (me and another) use old computers (say Win95 vintage) and boot
them from the A drive with DOS 6 as the OS. There are two software
programs, supplied with the radio, that operate the radio nicely in a DOS 6
environment. I believe that one is called "Radio", the other "Special." I
do not have access to a manual currently, but will after Dec 1. As far as I
know, no service manual was ever published.
Also, as far as I know, no more modern software has yet been adapted to
operate this otherwise wonderful early black-box radio. IF YOU FIND ONE
THAT WORKS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
John Bryant
