Hello Group,
The WJ-8712 can be turned into a HF-1000 like receiver by simply
replacing two EPROM's:
Ref.- # U12 & U56. In the 8712 they can be labelled the following way:
(8712 A2 U12 1.4.4) or (871X A2 U56 1.2.0)
Likewise the HF-1000 EPROM's are labelled similar.
I have a 8712-1 with the HF-1000 chips in it.
Where the 8712-1 has 5 IF bandwidths (0.3, 1.0, 3.2, 6.0, 16.0kHz), the
HF-1000 has 58 of them (0.056 - 8.000kHz),- if I counted right.
Additional bandwidth custom made by WJ. Apart from a wider bandwidth
when exchanging the two IC's, I do not see any other difference between
the two.
Regards.
