The 8712 only had a few bandwidths; the A version had the fully flexible
bandwidth system of the 8711 and HF-1000. While I'm sure that there is
a way to tell which it is by a software revision or a board serial
number, I'd just try commanding a bunch of different bandwidths and see
what happens.

I recently bought a WJ 8712T on an internet auction. It was
presented as the Tempest version of the 8712A. I have two questions (a
little late, perhaps, but the price seemed right).

	1.	How can I determine if it is a Tempest version of the
8712A and not the prior 8712? Card numbers, etc.
	2.	I don't believe that card numbers will not tell you if
it is a tempest version. The construction of the beast is what tells
you. The features cannot be described over e-mail as these are
classified but look for good emc features.

	3.	Best regards
	4.	John
