I took a look at this site and see there's also a breakdown there  of the 
AN/..... system of equipment classification.
This list is one I haven't seen before but it would seem to have the  
potential to include some very sopisticated equipment.
I would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has come  across 
any premium equipment in the AN/ABC/... category, or perhaps  even AN/BBC/...., 
although I suspect the latter may be  even less common.
This would probably be more likely classified as transmitting equipment  
rather than receiving so apologies if that makes it slightly off topic.
