[Premium-Rx] Mackay Marine 3031A tuning glitch unglitched

Some days ago, several folks contributed welcome and useful advice
regarding my 3031A's opto-coupler hiccup (quick tuning would "confuse"
it). Thank you all very much for the help.

As it turns out, the problem was apparently mechanical or optical. The
tuning knob assembly (shaft, chopper disk, flywheel) and the
opto-coupler PCB board had been removed by a previous owner for service.
I'm guessing it was an owner rather than a Mackay Marine tech since
resoldering was sloppy and mechanical reassembly imprecise. I removed
the assembly and board, cleaned it all up, lubed the shaft and bearings,
re-installed the group, resoldered the connections neatly and re-aligned
the mechanical and optical components. The tuning is now very smooth
and error-free.

Needless to say, I'm happy the fix was this simple. Now, I must get to
work on building a companion transmitter. I wonder if I can share the
receiver's tuner??
