I have two WJ-8618A receivers I picked up intending to restore and I'll
never get to them.

If you'd like to see them, I can bring either or both to MARA Fest at the
Mandt Auditorium in Stoughton, WI on this Sunday.

Note the WJ-8618A is the EMI hardened version of the WJ-8617A with beefed
up filtering on all inputs and outputs and wire screening over openings
like the CRT display.

WJ-8618A serial no. 32

20-1100 MHz
20/250/500 kHz IF bandwidths
AM/FM/Pulse
Lists options on rear panel as DRD/488/PAS/REF/ASC/WBO

Tested, working, except for options PAS and ASC - no documentation so I
don't know how to test.

Unrestored. Needs cosmetic cleaning. Controls & switches need
cleaning. Edge connectors need ProGold. Probably needs synthesizer
alignment. The usual stuff

Physical condition is a 8/10. Top and bottom edges of front panel have
nicks, some light paint scuffing on front panel, rack screw slots have
clear evidence of mounting/demounting.

Spectrum display is bright and well focused.

Radio is complete and will make a nice unit when detailed. Photocopy of
receiver manual available. Due to unrestored condition, the radio is sold
as-is.

$1600 plus shipping and professional packing (foam in place) from Madison, WI

WJ-8618A serial no. 51

20-1100 MHz
50/300/1000 kHz IF bandwidths
AM/FM/CW/Pulse
Lists options DRD/488/ANS/REF/WBO/ASO on rear panel DRD is clearly
missing. ASO option is not obvious and may be missing.

Tested, used to work before storage six years ago. I even ran it with a
488 controller. Now it lights but front panel controls non-responsive -
like stuck in REM (remote - 488) mode. Scope display indicates
activity. 2nd LO board LEDs indicate the synthesizer is out of lock range.

Unrestored, needs cosmetic cleaning, controls & switches need cleaning,
edge connectors need ProGold, probably needs synthesizer alignment, the
usual stuff

Physical condition is a 8+/10. Top and bottom edges of front panel have
nicks, some light paint scuffing on front panel, rack screw slots have
clear evidence of mounting/demounting. Spectrum display is bright and well
focused.

Radio is complete (as noted) and will make a nice unit when repaired and
detailed. Photocopy of receiver manual available. Due to unrestored and
functionally impaired condition, the radio is obviously sold as-is.

$900 plus shipping and professional packing (foam in place) from Madison, WI.

If you purchase both radios together, I'll pay for the packing.

I'll only ship to US address. These are premium surveillance radios and
shipping them out of the US is not a risk I am willing to assume.
