I agree totally. THAT'S why I was so surprised to discover that one!
Also... this sort of thing demands that the pilot constantly be aware of his
exact position, and keep the NDB off of one wingtip on the ADF dial (as
close to
270 or 90 degrees relative as he can get it) as he comes in. It's just another
mental chore in an already cluttered environment.
