Group,
I don't know whether the subject transceiver ("Pacer Bounce" system as the
original military program was called) is considered today "premium", but it
certainly was in its day.
Some of this group may be familiar with it.
Here is my question:
I wonder whether there is any info regarding computer control of the this
transceiver. It has a built-in RS-232 port for interconnection with a remote
control panel, duplicating the front panel on the transceiver.
I'm looking for a way to control the transceiver from a PC, using this
serial interface. I can't find any info whether any software exists for this
radio. PC control was not used on this transceiver originally. BTW it has
the good old 8088 CPU in it, as it was designed in the era of the original
IBM PC.
Any information/experience is welcome.
Thanks,
