Hi, Gary. I own a 7030+, and have had another which I sold a while
back. Both were eBay cast-offs. I'm not really concerned about the
problems they once had. They really are wonderful performers, and well
worthwhile, especially if you use computer control like I do (ERGO4). I
also really enjoy the wireless remote. Where it really shines, in my
shack, is the 400 memories. I have all the 9 kHz spacing MW channels
programmed in, offset slightly either to USB or LSB. Most mornings, I'll
toggle through them all looking for trans Pacific hets. When there is a
strong one, I'll simply tune down or up to zero beat and hopefully hear
some audio. Mine has 4 filters, and has been "revved up" by Craig S. at
KIWA. I've had no troubles at all, and AOR UK is very good at answering
queries, and providing support. If you can find one, go for it. eBay used
to carry one or two a month, but I rarely, if ever, see them these
days..........Walt Salmaniw.
