Hi Ed,

my brother operates both receivers and I've been listening with
and comparing them many times.
For AM without heavy qrm I would prefer the R&S because its LC filters with their smooth
filter curves sound a lot more pleasant than the "hard" mechanical
collins filters which tend to add more audio distortion.
For heavy qrm situations when listening in SSB mode to AM stations
I would prefer the collins with it's "slicing" filters.
So you see, you MUST have both...
