[Premium-Rx] Faraday Shield.....To Be, or Not to Be?? Need advice, please!

You can do a very creditable job with copper screen, solder, some finger 
stock for the door and plywood or 2x4.

You bypass/choke the mains as you suggested. Also watch the 
braids/grounds on the inbound coax.

With respect to Peter's comment, you can line with anechoic/RF ansorber, 
$$$$; hihi.

Every few months a commercial room shows up for sale online. The 
sectioms are however usually very heavy and shipping becomes an issue.

Perhaps more fun to build a small cabin in an RF quiet area; a radio shack.
