Fault 1: You might try changing the location of the input cable to the main
IF board. On an RA6793A I was able to reduce the digital noise a great
deal, but not get rid of it, by just moving this cable around. I expect a
better solution would be to provide a balanced cable arrangement. This
cable seems to pick up noise from the processor board and since the signal
levels are low at this point the digital noise ends up in the IF signal path
and can be strong.
