Folks
Thank you for the tips so far. I should have mentioned that the unit has 5
filters, from 400Hz to 16KHz including a 3.24KHz which is in position FL1.
The unit is flakey, sometimes one or more of the filters pass the BITE test
which results in SSB working to a degree. On a couple of occasions when a
fault showed on FL1 the unit worked on LSB but not USB. Also some of the
filter BW detected by the BITE test were wide of the mark eg. detected as
1.2KHz but actually a 6.8KHz filter. Im aware that the BITE test does a
timing sweep of each filter.
The unit might not have been powered up for quite a while, so Im giving it
a soak test. The seller has said hes happy to exchange it as he has another
two, so hopefully one way or the other Ill end up with a nice working unit.
