Damien,
You don't tell us what filters are fitted in your radio, but with those
5 BITE failures it sounds like there are 5!
The information about installing filters can be found in section 2, page
2-7, of the handbook which is now on the web site. The main thing is to
be sure that the FL1 slot (the one nearest to the power supply) contains
either a symetrical 3.2 kHz filter or the one for LSB, if separate ssb
filters are used. If this is not done BITE will fail.
As far as returning it goes, that's your decision to make! But when
working well it's a good radio.
