[Premium-Rx] No Audio on Racal RA6790/GM

Has anyone seen this problem before ?
My Racal RA6790/GM has developed a problem I do not know how to solve. The 
audio is muted ,except in FM mode, when the radio is in " local" mode. Audio is 
restored to normal when I go to " remote " mode.
Running BITE yields no error code.
Anyone seen this before? Suggestions, guess ?
Any help appreciated.
