[Premium-Rx] FM/PM in audio on WJ-8615(S1) in CW/SSB Mode

Guys,

My WJ-8615(S1) has a little (but still annoying) FM / PM sound on the beat
note of a received signal in CW or SSB mode.  It doesn't seem to be relative
to the receive frequency (2 - 1100 MHz it's about the same.)

While I am going to do the usual troubleshooting for things like this (AC
hum on power rails, spectrum analyzer look at each LO, etc), does anyone
have some experience with this problem and the WJ-8615(S1)?  

I guess there is a possiblility that the PLLs in this generation receiver
may have enough phase noise to be annoying even in a receiver without a
"problem".

A little experience from someone specifically on the WJ-8615(S1) could save
me a lot of troubleshooting time.  

Also, the less I touch, the less I can break!
