Its fairly common for a receiver to control an associated exciter so
that the frequency of the exciter tracks the frequency of the receiver.
I am putting together a station based on the Collins HF80 equipment.
*Somewhere* I recall reading the frequency of the 8014 exciter can be
set by a 2050 receiver. Like things usually are when you read about
them *somewhere*, you dont remember where it was you got that
information and if it was true.

Question to the group: Is it possible to have the 2050 receiver set
the frequency of the 8014 exciter so that the exciter tracks the
receiver as the receiver is tuned? If so, has anybody done this, and
what cards, options, etc are requried? How does it work? Through the
remote?

Dave
