Subject: [Premium-Rx] Harrids RF590 Tuning steps

Does your RF-590 default to 1 MHz? Mine defaults to 1 KHz. If there is a
difference here it may be possible to change it. I don't know anything else
about this though.

Hi List.

I have a Harris RF590 which has a feature I'd like to change (because it
drives
me mad with irritation).

When the radio is powered-up, the default manual tuning step is always 1MHz.
However, it 'remembers' every other setting last used (eg; mode, IF BW,
frequency, etc).

Is there any way to change this default (I assume it isn't firmware) so that
when switch on it defaults to, say, 100Hz? - or even just remembers the last
tuning step that was last used?

My manual is limited in this respect. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Its interesting to see how a superb design can be completely ruined by
'clumsy'
ergonomics.

Many thanks.

Richard
